Sonny’s Curry

The Legacy of Alexander, the Path of Jesus, and the Power of Curry at Café Serra

Joe and Sonny sat at their usual corner table at Café Serra, their conversation weaving through time and history like the winding spice routes of old. Over steaming cups of chai, Joe leaned in, his eyes alight with curiosity.

“Alexander the Great marched through the Balkans, conquered Persia, and led his army all the way to India. But that’s where his dream faltered. His men, exhausted and homesick, refused to go any further. The great conqueror was forced to turn back,” Joe mused.

Sonny nodded. “True, but his influence remained. Even today, traces of Balkan blood can be found in parts of India. And you know who else may have followed that path? Jesus.”

Joe raised an eyebrow. “Jesus in India?”

“There are stories that say he traveled the same routes, seeking spiritual lessons from the sages of the East,” Sonny said. “Maybe the wisdom he shared in the West had roots in those ancient teachings.”

Joe took a slow sip of his tea. “That would explain a lot. The fusion of ideas, the shared truths.”

Sonny smiled. “And speaking of shared truths, the Bhagavad Gita has a verse that stands out: ‘When justice is crushed, when evil rules supreme, then I come. For the protection of the good, for the destruction of the evil-doers.'” He let the words hang in the air for a moment before continuing. “It’s about balance, Joe. And right now, I plan to restore balance… with my anti-inflammatory curry dishes.”

Joe chuckled. “Curry as divine intervention?”

“Absolutely! Turmeric and ginger have been healing people for thousands of years. Butter chicken, masala dishes, all infused with ingredients that fight inflammation and nourish the soul. I’ll be bringing them to Café Serra soon,” Sonny declared.

Joe grinned. “Alexander may have turned back, but your curry is marching forward. Count me in.”

As the two friends clinked their cups together, Café Serra’s air filled with the promise of history, healing, and the warmth of a perfectly spiced dish.

Stay tuned for Sonny’s upcoming menu additions, where ancient wisdom meets modern wellness—only at Café Serra.
